Graphic Designer in Digital Marketing

At Elevated Marketing Solutions, we look to our graphic designer when we have creative requests for digital marketing needs – such as ads, website graphics, print, and so much more. Our team dynamic is based on a strong foundation. Included in that, is the willingness to learn, grow, and go above and beyond expectations.

We will train on anything below if you are not currently capable of knowing how to do it. One of our core values is:

Strategy

  • Manage strategy and the initial concept for all creative direction, including the following:
    • The initial decision of ad type for image, carousel, or video (full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources.) for any new clients. 
    • Based on the graphic request, decide on the best design direction to go.
    • Communicate with the client to get full insight and what is expected. Most clients at our current level expect us to pick it for them. 
    • Note on the monthly strategy and/or reporting document what you worked on for the client monthly. 

Design 

  • Design the graphic based on client insight and your creative direction.
  • Create all designs and ad copy inside the platform for ad platforms including:
    • Facebook
      • Ad copy and creative in animation, video (full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources.), carousel, or image format.
    • LinkedIn
      • Ad copy and creative in animation, video (full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources.), carousel, or image format.
    • Google Performance Max Campaigns
      • Ad copy and creative in animation, video (full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources), image format.
    • Google Smart Campaigns
      • Ad copy and creative in animation, video, (Full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources. ), carousel, or image format.
    • Youtube ads
      • Ad copy and creative in animation, video (full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources.).
    • Native ads
      • Ad copy and creative in animation, video (full length professionally scripted video more than 20 seconds would require outside resources.), carousel, or image format.
    • Streaming radio ads
      • Ad copy is only needed here, the rest is provided by the platform by selections. 
    • Connected TV Ads
      • Outside sources would often be needed here for full commercial ability. Only knowing what is needed would be required here to coordinate with a client’s resources or outside resources. 
  • The graphic could be any of the following:
    • Organic social media
    • Website graphic:
      • Slider graphic
      • PDF download
      • Blog post graphic
    • Print:
      • Flyer
      • Door hanger
  • Graphics may need to include a QR code with the appropriate UTM. 
  •  

Creative Placement

  • Once designs are created, place them inside of the platform:
    • Place the creative inside of the correct ad set.
    • Include ad copy and headlines.
    • Include CTA (learn more, sign up, etc).
    • Include landing page with the correct UTM. 

Creative Approval

  • Once the creative has been placed inside of the platform, send it to the client for approval:
    • Send to the client for feedback/approval.
    • Put preview links in an email.
    • Describe the why behind the creative concepts.

Project Management

  • Manage the client approval for all campaigns through email as well as keep track of processes inside of Asana.
  • Communicate with the client on status, stage, and suggestions.
  • Finish the graphic in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the task is handed off to the next person (strategist) to keep the process going. 

Training

  • Consistently train by using the following tools:
    • Obtain industry-related certifications for new and emerging designs, paid through company time and resources. 
    • Listen, watch, and read industry information on a regular basis.
    • Interact and ask questions with your peers and supervisor.
