The Life of a Creative Director
We asked Todd a series of questions, here is what he had to say.
If someone else was describing you in less than five words, what would those be?
Creative, calm, cool, collected.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Growing up I always wanted to do something with art and drawing. I didn’t know it but that’s called graphic design. So that’s what I did!
What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy good food, streaming the latest Netflix series, and long walks in the evening to relax and get in some exercise. I also have a classic 1970 Mach1 Mustang I restored and continue working on, there’s always something to do with it.
How long have you been in digital marketing?
About 25 years total in advertising with the most recent 10 being in the digital marketing space.
What is your favorite type of digital marketing?
Probably coming up with creative campaigns to be used across multiple deliverables.
If you had to tell someone new to digital marketing something, what would you say?
Find creative ways to solve each problem and don’t get caught up in what you’re working on is just another digital assignment. Always know people will see your work and you are responsible for the impression it makes on them.
What does it mean to do the right thing by a client?
When a client entrusts you with their brand that is a very high honor. It is in your hands and needs to be treated with care at all times. And don’t be afraid to suggest new things that they might not have thought of on their own, they will truly be grateful when they see your passion and focus attached to their brand.
